Ivory Forest is a light ivory beige travertine cut to show a linear, wood-like grain.
The colour is a light ivory beige with soft sandy undertones, warm without being heavy. What sets it apart is the movement: fine linear banding runs the length of each tile, reading much like timber grain. Laid across a floor, the lines carry through and give the surface direction and rhythm, so a large area holds interest without looking busy. It works well with real timber, render, black fixtures and greenery.

Where it works
The linear grain is the thing to plan around with Ivory Forest. Run the lines in one direction and they lengthen a space, which suits hallways, long living areas and narrow courtyards. The 305 x 610mm size shows the grain off best, since the longer format gives the banding room to run. Set the layout out on site before you fix anything, as the direction of the grain makes more difference here than with a plainer stone. The recommended applications for this stone are still being confirmed, so contact us and we can advise on the right fit for your job.
Choosing a finish
Ivory travertine with fine linear veining that runs like grain through each tile. Natural pitting left open and edges softened by tumbling for a textured, slip friendly surface. Ideal for pool surrounds, alfresco areas and paths.
As a guide with travertine, a honed and filled surface gives a smooth, even face that suits internal floors and living areas, and shows the linear grain most clearly. A tumbled or textured finish adds grip underfoot, which makes it a safer pick around pools and wet areas. If you are unsure which finish fits your project, give us a call and we can talk it through.
Order a sample
Order a sample to see Ivory Forest in your own light before you commit. With a linear stone it is worth seeing a few pieces together, so you can judge how the grain runs across a full floor.
