Luminis-Navagio

Luminis Navagio

Luminis Navagio is a rich ocean-blue mosaic with swirling teal, aqua and deep navy movement.

The character comes from the swirl. Rich ocean-blue is worked with teal, aqua and deep navy in a flowing, artistic pattern, so instead of a flat colour or a random mix the surface moves like deep, sunlit water. It runs deeper and bolder than the lighter swirled mosaics, the navy giving it weight while the aqua and teal keep it alive. Across a pool or wall it reads striking and fluid, the tones curving and blending rather than sitting in a grid. Each small tile adds to the movement as the light shifts. It works with pale stone, timber, white joinery, brass and bold, coastal schemes.

Where it works

Mosaic is a feature material, and Luminis Navagio's swirling ocean-blue is made to be seen. It comes into its own across pool waterlines and full pool interiors, where the flowing blue-teal-navy movement reads like deep, moving water, and it makes a striking bathroom feature wall, splashback or spa surround. The small format lets it follow curves and wrap corners in a way sheet tiles cannot, which is why mosaics suit pools and rounded walls. A flowing pattern like this reads best over a large area, where there is room for the swirl to move, so it does more across a full pool than in a small patch. Because the pattern is directional, set the sheets out dry first so the swirl runs the way you want before fixing. Whether this particular mosaic is rated for pool and full wet-area use depends on the material and backing, so that is worth confirming. The recommended applications are still being confirmed, so contact us and we can advise on the right fit for your job.

Choosing a finish

Available finishes: TBC

Mosaics usually come face-mounted or mesh-backed on sheets for easier laying, and the individual pieces may be glossy, matte or a mix. A glossy finish lifts the blue and teal and brings out the swirling movement, which suits a pool or feature wall where you want the light to play across it. Grout colour makes a big difference with mosaic, since there is so much of it: a mid blue-grey grout usually sits back and lets the swirl lead, while a stark white grout can break up the flowing pattern. If you are unsure which finish, backing or grout suits your project, give us a call and we can talk it through.

Order a sample

Order a sample to see Luminis Navagio in your own light before you commit. A swirling pattern reads very differently up close than across a full pool, and shifts again underwater, so it is worth seeing a full sheet, ideally a few together, on site and wet as well as dry.
