Nieve Gris is a soft light-grey mosaic with cool, misty undertones and a clean, understated character.
The colour is a soft light-grey with cool, misty undertones, quiet and neutral rather than warm or stark. Subtle tonal variation runs from piece to piece, keeping the surface alive, with each small tile catching the light a little differently. Across a pool or wall it reads clean and understated, a light, contemporary grey that opens a space up or gives a pool a soft, silvery water look. It works with almost anything, from timber and concrete to white joinery, black tapware, chrome and both warm and cool schemes.

Where it works
Mosaic is a feature and detail material, and this light-grey is the clean, versatile neutral. It suits pool waterlines and interiors, where a soft grey gives a silvery, understated water look, and bathroom feature walls, splashbacks, shower niches and vanity walls where a light, cool neutral belongs. The small format lets it follow curves and wrap corners in a way sheet tiles cannot, which is why mosaics suit pools and rounded walls. As a pale neutral it can go across a whole pool or wall without overwhelming a space, or sit as a soft base alongside a bolder feature colour. Whether this particular mosaic is rated for pool and full wet-area use depends on the material and backing, so that is worth confirming. The recommended applications are still being confirmed, so contact us and we can advise on the right fit for your job.
Choosing a finish
Available finishes: TBC
Mosaics usually come face-mounted or mesh-backed on sheets for easier laying, and the individual pieces may be glossy, matte or a mix. A glossy finish lifts the grey and gives a soft, reflective look in a pool, while a matte finish reads more natural on a wall. Grout colour makes a big difference with mosaic, since there is so much of it: a pale or mid grey grout keeps the clean, seamless look, while a darker grout would pick out the grid. A grout close to the tone is usually the right call here. If you are unsure which finish, backing or grout suits your project, give us a call and we can talk it through.
