Limra is a soft creamy-white limestone with warm ivory undertones and a clean, timeless character.
The colour is a soft creamy-white, warmed by ivory undertones so it reads as an inviting neutral rather than a cool one. Fine natural speckling runs evenly through the stone, giving it quiet texture rather than pattern or veining. Over a large floor or wall it reads as a light, even cream with that matte limestone character, the speckling showing only up close. It opens a space up and pairs naturally with timber, rattan, linen tones, white joinery and greenery.

Where it works
Limestone is a softer, more porous stone, so it wants sealing and a bit of care, and acids will etch it much like a marble. Its strength is a natural, matte, understated look, and the creamy-white tone here brings light and warmth into a space. Being light, it stays cooler underfoot than darker stone in direct sun. The clean character suits it to bathrooms, feature walls, living floors and, depending on the finish and how hard-wearing this particular stone is, outdoor and alfresco areas where a natural, non-slip surface is wanted. The recommended applications for this stone are still being confirmed, so contact us and we can advise on the right fit for your job, indoors or out.
Choosing a finish
Available finishes: Available in polished, honed, tumbled, honed and tumbled, or sandblasted and tumbled finishes, each enhancing the limestone’s soft cream tones, fine natural texture, and timeless elegance.
As a guide with limestone, a honed finish gives a smooth, natural matte face that suits internal floors, walls and living areas, and shows the creamy tone and speckling cleanly. A brushed or textured finish adds grip underfoot, which makes it the safer pick for wet areas, pool surrounds and outdoor use. Limestone is not usually polished the way marble is, since the matte, natural look is the point. If you are unsure which finish fits your project, give us a call and we can talk it through.
