Mosaic is a feature material, and Pure Cobalt's weathered, mineral-flecked cobalt is cool and moody. Mosaics usually come face-mounted or mesh-backed on sheets for easier laying, and the individual pieces may be glossy, matte or a mix. A glossy finish lifts the cobalt, while a matte or mixed finish suits the weathered, mineral character particularly well. Grout colour makes a big difference with mosaic, since there is so much of it: a mid or dark blue-grey grout keeps the deep, weathered look and lets the flecks lead, while a white grout would brighten and flatten the effect.
