Vanguard Bluestone Blend is a refreshing blend of turquoise, aqua, deep teal and soft ivory.
The character comes from the mix. Turquoise, aqua, deep teal and soft ivory pieces are blended across the sheet, so instead of a single colour the surface reads lively and coastal, the bright turquoise and aqua playing against the deeper teal and the soft ivory lifting it. Across a pool the mix reads fresh and naturally varied, like clear coastal water with light moving through it. Because the pieces are mixed, each sheet has natural variety. It works with pale stone, timber, white joinery, brass and bright, relaxed, coastal schemes.

Where it works
Mosaic is a feature material, and Vanguard Bluestone Blend's turquoise-and-aqua mix is made for pools. The blend of turquoise, aqua, teal and ivory gives a pool a bright, fresh, naturally varied water look, so it comes into its own across pool waterlines and full pool interiors, and it works on bathroom feature walls, splashbacks and spa surrounds. The small format lets it follow curves and wrap corners in a way sheet tiles cannot, which is why mosaics suit pools and rounded walls. The mix reads especially well over a large pool, where there is room for the colours to move. Whether this particular mosaic is rated for pool and full wet-area use depends on the material and backing, so that is worth confirming. Mosaics usually come face-mounted or mesh-backed on sheets for easier laying, and the individual pieces may be glossy, matte or a mix. A glossy finish lifts the turquoise and aqua and suits pools and water features. Grout colour makes a big difference with mosaic, since there is so much of it: a mid blue-grey or pale grout usually sits back and lets the blend do the work, while a white grout brightens the sheet and picks up the ivory.
