Mars Dark Grey is a warm dark-greige porcelain paver with a grounded, understated character.
The colour is a warm dark-greige, deepened by soft taupe undertones so it reads as a warm charcoal rather than a cold grey. The surface has a subtle fine-grain texture rather than veining or strong movement, which gives it an even, contemporary concrete-like look. Over a large floor or paved area it reads as a calm, grounded dark neutral that anchors a space. It suits modern schemes and sits well with timber, render, greenery, black fixtures and lighter paving, indoors or out.

Where it works
Porcelain behaves very differently to natural stone. It does not need sealing, it does not etch from acids, and it takes far more wear, which makes it a low-maintenance choice for busy areas. At 20mm, this is a structural paver, the format made for outdoor use: pool surrounds, alfresco areas, paths and courtyards, where it can go over pedestals, on a gravel or sand bed, or bedded traditionally. The dark, even tone is a good grounding contrast against lighter paving, render and decking, and the fine-grain texture gives a clean, modern look without pattern. The 20mm thickness also means strong slip resistance and load capacity for external paving. The recommended applications are still being confirmed, so contact us and we can advise on the right fit for your job, indoors or out.
Choosing a finish
Available finishes: TBC
Porcelain pavers of this kind usually come in a textured, matte, structured finish built for grip underfoot, which is what you want around pools and outdoors. Unlike natural stone, the finish is consistent tile to tile. A dark paver shows less marking and staining than a pale one outdoors, which is a practical point in its favour. If a matching thinner tile is available for indoor floors to carry the same look inside, it is worth asking, since 20mm is heavy for internal work. If you are unsure which finish or format fits your project, give us a call and we can talk it through.
Order a sample
Order a sample to see Mars Dark Grey in your own light before you commit. Porcelain reads differently outdoors in daylight than under showroom lighting, so it is worth checking it on site against your paving, render and landscaping.
