Where it works
Diana Royale is a marble, so it wants a bit more care than the travertines in the range. It is softer, etches with acids, and needs sealing once it is down, which makes it best suited to areas where it will be seen rather than worked hard. The sweeping movement is the thing to plan around. It rewards a large, uninterrupted surface, so a slab or the 610 x 1220mm format on a feature wall, island or vanity lets the pattern flow the way it should. On smaller tiles the movement gets chopped up and loses its effect, so save those for secondary areas. Lay pieces out dry before you fix anything so the flow carries across the joins. Available finishes: Honed and polished finish with a smooth, refined surface and subtle sheen that enhances the marble’s creamy beige tones and elegant natural veining.
As a guide with marble, a polished finish brings the taupe movement and depth up strongest, which suits vanities, splashbacks and feature walls, though it shows wear and etching more readily.
