Opalescent Blanco is a luminous pearl-white mosaic with soft silvery undertones and a delicate iridescent shimmer.
The colour is a clean pearl-white with soft silvery undertones, and the character is in the shimmer: delicate iridescent highlights catch and shift the light as you move past, so the surface glows and changes rather than reading as flat white. It is bright and refined, giving light and movement without any strong colour. In a pool it reads as bright, pale, luminous water, and on a wall it has a soft, pearly glow. It works with almost anything, from pale stone and timber to brass, chrome and stronger feature colours, and lifts a space with light rather than colour.

Where it works
Mosaic is a feature material, and Opalescent Blanco's draw is the pale, luminous shimmer. It suits pool waterlines and full pool interiors, where the pearly finish gives a bright, high-end, pale water look, and bathroom feature walls, splashbacks, shower niches and vanity walls where a soft, light-catching neutral belongs. The small format lets it follow curves and wrap corners in a way sheet tiles cannot, which is why mosaics suit pools and rounded walls. Because the effect is in the shimmer rather than a strong colour, it can go across a whole pool or wall without overwhelming a space, and it pairs well as a lighter partner to a bolder feature mosaic. Whether this particular mosaic is rated for pool and full wet-area use depends on the material and backing, and iridescent finishes especially are worth confirming for pool use. The recommended applications are still being confirmed, so contact us and we can advise on the right fit for your job.
Choosing a finish
Available finishes: TBC
This one reads as opalescent, so the pieces catch and shift the light with a pearly, iridescent sheen, which is the whole point of the look, and it shows most in sun and moving water. Mosaics come face-mounted or mesh-backed on sheets for easier laying. Grout colour makes a big difference with mosaic: a white or pale grout keeps the clean, luminous feel and lets the shimmer lead, while a darker grout would break up the pale surface and mute the glow. A pale grout is almost always the right call here. If you are unsure which finish, backing or grout suits your project, give us a call and we can talk it through.
Order a sample
Order a sample to see Opalescent Blanco in your own light before you commit. An opalescent surface shifts far more with the light and the angle than a flat colour, so it is worth seeing a full sheet on site, and for a pool, wet as well as dry.
